Drive through medieval villages, half-timbered 'ginger bread' houses and gorgeous alpine scenery. An unescorted (or private guided) tour of total flexibility with the optional security of adding highly qualified local guides who will introduce you to local history.

 DAY 1: Frankfurt
Arrival at Frankfurt airport and transfer to hotel or pick up your car at the airport. Overnight at the hotel of your choice either 3 or 4 star hotel in Frankfurt.

DAY 2: Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Black Forest
Breakfast. Start the day by an optional 2-hour walking city tour in Frankfurt or drive to drive to Heidelberg. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. In Heidelberg you can join a 2-hour walking city tour or walk around the famous castle and enjoy the fabulous view over the Neckar valley. If weather conditions allows it, take the scenic Schwarzwald Hochstrasse to Freudenstadt. Tonight we have a speial Black Forest dinner for you with accommodation at a Romatic hotel located near the Ravenna Gorge.

Day 3 Freiburg - Lake Titisee - Lindau - Füssen (275 km)
After brekfast enjoy a Cuckoo clock demonstration, then continue driving to a typical Black Forest farm for cheese tasting and get a feeling for the real Black Forest. Next you travel to Lake Titisee, nestled at the depth of the legendary Black Forest. You continue to the small island of Lindau at Lake Constance, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps that frame the panorma of this small town of Medieval half-timbered houses. Depending on weather conditions you can take the Alpine road from Lindau to Oberstaufen
and Immenstadt to your final destination Füssen the southernmost point in the tour, gateway to the King Ludwig Bavarian castles.

Day 4 Neuschwanstein - Wieskirche - Oberammergau - Linderhof - Ettal - Innsbruck, Austria.
Visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “Mad King“. that served as an inspiration to Walt Disney for the castle of the Sleeping Beauty. In the afternoon drive to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Along the way you can visit the Wieskirche Rokoko Church before arriving at an other famous castle, Linderhof, a little jewel and favourite residenze of the king. On the way to Innsbruck we visit he Ettal Benedictine Abbey. Today‘s final destination is Innsbruck the charming Austrian town at the foothills of the mighty Alps.

Day 5 Innsbruck - Munich (250 km)
Sightseeing tour of  Innsbruck. Enjoy this nice city in Austria, located in the Inn valley, in the heart of the Alps located in the deep valley of the River Inn, between the Kurwendel and the Tuxer mountains. In the afternoon drive to Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Overnight in Munich.

Day 6 Munich
After breakfast 2-hour walking city tour in Munich, were you’ll visit the city’s main attractions, concluding the tour at the Marienplatz squarewith its famous clock tower (optional). Munich, the capital of the state of Bavaria is famous for its Oktoberfest, which is annually celebrated in September. Afternoon free for own activities to discover this lively city on your own or visit its famous mueums and art galleries. This evening we treat you to a typical Bavarian dinner at one of the traditional restaurants/taverns.

Day 7 Munich - Nuremberg
After breakfast drive to Nuremberg to visist this historic city with its Medieval castle & Gothic churches. It was also an important center during the Third Reich. Overnight in Nuremberg.

Day 8 Munich - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Frankfurt (435 km)
After breakfast you drive to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. 1.5-hour city tour of Rothenburg, one of the oldest and the best preserved

 Medieval cities in the Romatic Germany program. Taste the pypical local pastry, called "snowball". Next you drive to Frankfurt to say goodbye to your guide or return your rental car at the Frankfurt airport. Overnigth in Frankfurt.

Day 9 Frankfurt

Afterbreakfast take the hotel shuttle to the airport.
