An evening on board is a feast for the sense. Take a seat in the
Amadeus´ grand on-board restaurant, enjoy the fine view through the panoramic window and
then let us pamper you. That is how it should be, as the chef and his team will delight
you with their lovingly prepared creations. Who could decline such hospitality? You will,
of course, need a fine wine to accompany these gastronomic pleasures and the head waiter
will be happy to advise you. Then sit back and enjoy this sensual symphony. The next day
will again be filled with impressions and images as countryside, villages, towns pass by.
You will be able to tour castles and palaces, stroll through shopping streets and narrow
alleys and then in the evening return to the comfortable surroundings of the
cruise ship.

MS AMADEUS
BRILLIANT - BUILT in 2011
|
|

|
 |
The m/s AMADEUS Brilliant will have
the same classic look as its two sister
ships - the AMADEUS Elegant (2010) and
AMADEUS Diamond (2009) - with a pointed
bow and will, with its 110-m length, fit
perfectly into the elegant AMADEUS
fleet. Passengers will find the same
high standards of service and interior
fixtures and fittings as they have
become accustomed to aboard the other
AMADEUS vessels when they are greeted on
the AMADEUS Brilliant by the atmosphere
of a modern hotel room with TV, minibar
and designer bath in the stylishly
furnished 15-m² standard cabins. Most
of the 67 cabins have magnificent
panoramic windows and French balconies,
which turn this mode of travel into a
truly memorable experience. The same
applies to the 9 elegant suites on the
Mozart deck, whose 22-m² of space and
equipment offer passengers pure
luxury.
The AMADEUS club with its library and
Internet access is again a particular
highlight for passengers, quite apart
from the impressive sun deck with its
comfortable deck chairs, the golf
putting green and giant chessboard. A
lift between each deck now makes this
relaxed way of travelling even more
convenient.

The AMADEUS Brilliant will have one
really striking new feature, in that all
its lighting systems have been
completely redesigned by a specially
commissioned, and internationally
renowned, lighting designer.
Maiden voyage on the Rhine
The AMADEUS Brilliant's maiden
voyage will start in Strasbourg on 1 May
2011 and take in the impressive scenery
all the way down the Rhine to
Amsterdam. The new river cruiser will
ply up and down Europe's waterways for
the rest of the 2011 season, including
14-day voyages from Amsterdam to Vienna,
7-day voyages from Budapest to the Black
Sea, and 7-day cruises along the Danube
over Advent, Christmas and the New
Year.
|
|
MS AMADEUS SILVER
New ship in 2013
|
 |
The AMADEUS SILVER will be the Austrian river cruise specialist’s first
135m ship and bring the size of the fleet up to a total of 11 vessels.
Extending the traditional 110-m length of the AMADEUS ships to 135-m
creates not only space for more cabins but allows for quite a number of
innovative new features in the premium market segment to come to
fruition.
“The AMADEUS SILVER is indeed our first 135m ship and has been planned
to fit in wonderfully with the rest of the fleet. All our claims to
offer magnificent design coupled with considerable comfort can now be
fulfilled even with an increase in the number of cabins. We briefed the
planners specifically not to build a floating “bed palace” with the
greatest possible capacity but to design a ship that would do justice to
the increasing demand from all over the world for superb river travel
facilities. And they have done just that – to our customary high premium
standards”, explains Dr. Wolfgang Lueftner, founder and CEO of Lueftner
Cruises.
The famous Dutch “De Hoop” firm was as usual commissioned to build the
135m river cruiser at its shipyard in Lobith, the Netherlands, where the
keel has already been laid. The celebrated naval architects from “Art
Line” have been entrusted with designing and planning the extra public
spaces on board so that the best possible use is made of them.
The AMADEUS SILVER will have a total of 78 enlarged standard cabins
(16m²). Those on the Mozart and Strauss decks will have an innovative
form of French balcony offering the option of making the panoramic
window front (which extends across the whole cabin width) automatically
drop-down so that the cabin becomes a balcony in itself. The 12 AMADEUS
Suites (24m²), moreover, have ‘walk-out’ exterior balconies with their
own seating groups, enormous panoramic windows and comfortable bathrooms
with bath, separate WC and separate shower.
The “River Terrace” open-air lounge in the bow is a special feature of
this ship. An unusual glazing solution offers an open-air terrace on
which to relax and have good views of the river and scenery while
simultaneously providing protection from wind and rain. The new design
also has an unusual surprise for sports enthusiasts, as the AMADEUS
SILVERS’s spacious fitness studio spreads over two decks and thus has
sufficient height to allow for the use of various items of professional
training equipment.
The enormous Panorama Restaurant accommodates all the passengers at the
same time and offers particularly fine views of the river through
windows that reach down to the floor. The “Highlight Dinner” gourmet
dining idea already established on the AMADEUS Brilliant (2011) and the
AMADEUS Elegant (2010) under which guests enjoy an excellent private
dinner in the AMADEUS salon on special occasions, can also be arranged
on the new ship.
The new Café Vienna on board tempts passengers with its typically
Austrian coffee and ‘Sachertorte’ specialities.
Over and above all this, the 135m ship has all the pleasant touches for
which the AMADEUS river cruisers well known. As well as the impressive
sun deck with seating areas shaded from the sun, comfortable deck
chairs, golf putting green and giant chess game, there’s also the
AMADEUS Club with its library and Internet-access and a comfortable lift
connecting all the decks.
Lueftner Cruises, which was awarded the “Green Globe Certification
Highest Achievement Award” for its sustainable measures and economic use
of resources aboard its AMADEUS fleet in 2011, will naturally also be
aiming for optimal reduction of energy consumption and air pollution
with this new ship.
Maiden voyage on the Dutch and Belgian waterways.
The AMADEUS SILVERS’s maiden voyage will take place in mid-April along
the canals of Belgium and Holland. For the rest of the 2013 season it
will operate between Amsterdam and Budapest.
